Argen
Testing
Argen
alloys are subjected to a strict series of quality tests that ensure
and control the chemicla composition, microstructure and physical properties.
To
ensure the health and safety of the dental patient, Argen uses independent
laboratories to perform cytotoxicity tests on alloys. Trace elements
are chosen to ensure biocompatibility. Argen also conducts corrosion
resistance and tarnish testing for safety and esthetic considerations.
Each
batch undergoes a full chemical analysis. Metallurgical evaluations
of microstructure, thermal properties and physical properties are supplemented
by functional evaluation of castibility, ease of polishing and porcelain
compatibility.
By
balancing scientific testing with functional testing, superior quality
alloys are consistently produced.
Understanding
the internal structure of the alloys provides insight into the functional
characteristics of the alloy. Argen's extensive testing also provides
us with a large database, a valuable resource, enhancing the expert
technical assistance we extend to our customers.
A
micro-fine grain structure provides high temperature strength to resist
hot tears. The cleanliness of the grain boundaries gives indications
for gassing, sag and porcelain adherence.
